What Could Recurring Sharp Pain In Areola Indicate?

Awakened by sharp pain in areola (between upper edge and nipple) this a.m. It subsided after 10 min or so. Has started up again; direct pressure brings relief. Had mammogram a few weeks ago; received letter with results indicating no problems. Pain is the only symptom; no redness, swelling, discharge, etc. I m a 62-year-old female; hysterectomy and double oophorectomy in 2010.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello ma'am , I wanted to know the reason for what you have gone through these surgeries. was there any malignancy. If yes then you should go for complete range of test with blood reports, tumour markers, and CTScan. Or a repeat mammography may reveal something. If nothing was there then no question to worry.
