Hello,

Recurring abdominal cramps are commonly due to Ingestion, IBS, Gastritis, GERD, stomach ulcer (peptic/esophageal), UC, CD, etc. Since you have a history of RA, you are suggested to avoid sedentary life, get connected to a physiologist, do exercises under his observation to keep joints flexible & lubricated.

Take NSAIDS, naproxen, one SOS after food when required to get rid of pain and take vitamin E (Evion-400), once daily for 10 days. For abdominal cramps you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get blood workouts and Imaging (CT,MRI) done to detect the pathology causing you the symptoms. Get treated.

Take antacids and PPI's for relieve. Avoid oily, spicy food. Take boiled food for a couple of days. Take small meals multiple times a day. Maintain your eating time. Stay well hydrated, cut on addictions if any. Take adequate sleep. Take Digestives and liver tonics.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
