Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Arthritis Causing Stomach Cramps And Burning Skin?
Last night, I woke up with some stomach cramps and a burning sensation on the skin to the left of my belly button. It literally felt like someone was holding something hot to my skin. It all passed quickly, but that area of my skin still feels a little sensitive.
I'm a 33 year-old female (5'3"/135 lbs.) who definitely drinks more than I should (2-4 drinks of beer or wine daily). I exercise regularly, but lately have been having problems with arthritis in my cervical spine (causing a stiff neck/shoulder). I've gotten myself all worried that this is peripheral neuropathy from drinking. Could that be the case?? I knew I needed to cut back, but I didn't think I was drinking enough to do lasting damage.
dear Ms, the daily drinking and medications to cure arthritis can cause gastritis which is inflammation of the stomach. to relieve that you can take omeprazol or Zantac
