Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
There is very little chance that it is related to your bypass surgery. It looks to me that there is nerve compression at spine. It is called spinal canal stenosis. In this disease because of nerve compression when patient start walking nerve get swell and then because not enough space is available patient feel pain. As patient take rest then his pain disappear or decrease.
I would suggest you to get a appointment with a orthopaedic surgeon. He may suggest you to get MRI of your spine. till that time I will, recommend you to take tablet pregabalin and methylcobalamine.
