What Could Small Red Mark On Roof Of Mouth With White Palate Mean?

Hi

Thank you for your time. I haev a small red/pink mark on the roof of my mouth. It is painless and when I touch it it turns whitish (the color of the rest of the palate). I noticed it 3 days ago. I am VERY concerned. It is not raised. Is it possible this is just the anatomy of my mouth. I'm HIV negative and all blood work is fine

Do you haev any idea what may be causing this?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a small red patch over the roof which occurred just 3 days back does not seems to be HIV or cancer and considering it to be cancerous so early will not be a right diagnosis..
It can be due to a few common reason like due to injury with some hot food causing inflammation or hard food leading to hematoma formation or can be due a mucous cyst known as a mUcocele..
You can consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and treatment can be planned according to the cause..
As of now you can do concentrated salt water rinses and there is a possibility that it will get resolved in 3 to 4 days..
Avoid hot, spicy and hard foods..
