recently i had the fingernail on my index finger ripped off in an accident. went to the ER and they cleaned me up and glued the nail in place to protect the finger while the new nail grows. now i have to replace my bandages daily as it s difficult to keep them from getting wet and dirty, and i ve started to notice a very strong pungent smell coming from under the nail. everything else looks to be healing normally, but the smell is putting me off and making me worry that something is wrong.
