What Could Stye-like Flesh Protruding From Tonsils While Suffering From Sinusitis And Tonsillitis Mean?
I have a fleshy stye-like stalk protruding from my right tonsil. I have chronic sinusitis and tonsoliths, but this is new. I managed to poke it and got out a small amount white substance followed by bleeding. What is this and is it dangerous? It does not not hurt, but is irritating. Please help.
HI. This looks to be just a part of an enlarged infected tonsil. It all depends on whether it respond well to antibiotic treatment or not / your age ( more the age more is need for biopsy) / Is the sinusitis confirmed by a CT Scan? I would suggest you to go for a three week course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines , decongestant nasal drops, soft warm diet which is well chewed,. See the results in three weeks. By this time your ENT Specialist will be in a position to suggest you further management.
