What Could Swelling, Bleeding And Puss Only In One Ear, Months After Piercing, Had Recently Changed Earrings?
hi, I had my ears pierced around the beginning of October. I have now changed the originals to another pair of sterling silver ones and have been cleaning them regularly, however my left one is slightly swollen, red and sometimes discharges blood and puss. I have no idea what to do because my right one is perfectly fine.
I have gone through your query regarding swelling and pain on ear lobule of left side and is discharging pus mixed with blood.
This all your problem arises after changing the sterling to silver but since problem is on left side only so it is not an allergic phenomenon as allergic are usually bilateral. This is an infective problem and to treat it you should-
1- Remove the sterling.
2- Clean the ear lobule with antiseptic solution.
3- Apply ointment having antibiotic + anti fungal + steroid .
4- Antibiotic (preferably broad spectrum).
Most likely above suggestions will solve your problem.
Regards.
