i am 47 years old and diagnosed with PCOS. I had a thyroidectomy 4 years ago. I am having bleeding currently which started 7 days after my usual period. it is still ongoing. I am also having lower back pain and pelvic pain. What could these symptoms indicate. Gina
Dear Ma'm, Hi! thyroid removed 4 years ago, if the balance is normal with thyroxine replacement then it should not bother you. if at 47 yrs of age you have irregular periods, you must get USG and pap smear done. back ache and pelvic pain can be handled symptomatically with painkillers, but you require regular calcium and vitamin D substitution. Regards!
