What Could The Reason Behind The Drastic Increase In The Power Sight When Compared To Previous Year?
I have a -5.00 cylindrical power in my right eye lens and the doctor said that the power is very high and I have to get a pentascan done to rule out .
Last year my power was -3.00 and this year it has risen to -5.00; what could be the reason?

It seems from the history that you are having refractive error and the refractive power has increased drastically.
In children till the age of 10-12 years there will be rapid increase in the refractive error because of growth of the eye. The other conditions to be considered are pathological myopia and keratoconus.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination to find out the underlying cause.
