What Diet Has To Be Followed If Diagnosed With DVT?
hello sir, i m hema, indian. i have dvt since one and a half month. The doctor suggested me to take 3mg and 4mg acitrom tablets for alternate days. And he told me to avoid green leafy vegetables. So what kind of diet i should follow please guide me. My blood peasure and sugar is normal.
Thanks for asking to HCM.I understand your concern. Brief Answer: Foods low in Vitamin K are advisable(warfarin diet) Detailed Answer: If i were your physician, would have also advised to avoid/(limit to maximum only one serving per day if unavoidable)green leafy vegetables containing high vitamin K(like Broccoli, lettuce, turnip greens, spinach, brussel sprout(cabbage variety) as your doctor said because it might decrease the efficacy of the drug you are taking for DVT. Most of non green leafy vegetables (like beetroot, potatoes, onion, cucumber, pumpkin, mushrooms are considered safe and all the fruits except grapes and berries.Hope this information helps you.If any further questions ,wish to answer you.Take care
