What Diet Should Be Followed By A Heart Patient?

I had open heart surgery 10 years ago and have developed a 75 % blockage in one of the arteries used in the by pass procedures... my doctor and cartiogist have me on Clopidogrel 75 mg and Xarelto 20mg daily. Here is my question I am changing my diet to be heart healthy, I am told that kale and dark green vegetables are very healthy, but contain Vitamin K which is deadly for those who are on blood thinners ... I am on two... where would I find a diet that wont cause problems... everything from red meat to green vegetables... seems on the fast train to disaster. can you advise...

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Eat fiber rich food, cut down on red meats, alcohol and tobacco. And then you should probably not be on both Clopidogrel and Xarelto.

Hope I have answered your query.
