I had open heart surgery 10 years ago and have developed a 75 % blockage in one of the arteries used in the by pass procedures... my doctor and cartiogist have me on Clopidogrel 75 mg and Xarelto 20mg daily. Here is my question I am changing my diet to be heart healthy, I am told that kale and dark green vegetables are very healthy, but contain Vitamin K which is deadly for those who are on blood thinners ... I am on two... where would I find a diet that wont cause problems... everything from red meat to green vegetables... seems on the fast train to disaster. can you advise...

What Diet Should Be Followed By A Heart Patient?
Hi, Eat fiber rich food, cut down on red meats, alcohol and tobacco. And then you should probably not be on both Clopidogrel and Xarelto. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
