Doctor proscribed him son injection now the TLC level has decreased to 16000 pls tell me balance dite for him as he is of 120 kg in weight.
Diabetes with uncontrolled sugar usually causes repeated and high infections. What your father needs is low carb diet. To avoid completely rice based items. He needs low glycemic foods like ragi, jowar, oats, green leafy vegetables.
Avoid starchy vegetables like potato, carrot and fruits. He should avoid mango, custard apple, sapota and banana, the rest he can eat. Next, he needs to reduce weight, moderate exercise with frequent males and adequate sugar control with oral hypoglycemics or insulin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Prasanna Lakshmi, Pediatrician
