What Diet To Follow For High Level In SGPT And SGOT?
Hi doc, I just received my LFT results & the SGPT & SGOT level is high as per the report SGPT - 97 & SGOT - 47. Kindly advise what diet to follow & is anything for me to worry as I have been getting varied answers.... My Hepatitis B test is negative & I m not diabetic. I weigh 70kgs & I m 28 years old regards, Rajeesh
Increased SGPT indicates liverinjury. It is important to know about other parameters of LFT like bilirubin level,GGT etc. It is important to know about alcohol history. You need proper clinical examination and few more investigations. Other investigations include routine hemogram,RBS(Random blood sugar),Viral markers,Ultrasound of abdomen.Further investigations can be done if needed.
You may need medicines after proper checkup. You should avoid alcohol if you take it. Avoid fatty and fried junk food. Hope i have answered your query.
