What Do Absence Of Periods And Presence Of Blood In Cervix?
I had a pap done on the 17th, my period was supposed to start that day, it didnt. my Dr said in the exam that it looks like it did start because there was blood on my cervix. it is now the 19th and I still have no period...no bleeding...what does this mean??
Slight menstrual irregularities can happen after Pap smear examination. Nothing much to worry and it will return to normal by itself. If periods are persistently delayed, you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
