Is There Is Any Scan To Find The Ovulation?
Hi,
I am planning to get conceive. But I have PCOD. I am taking tablets for the same. Also, My periods are irregular and I got periods on 23rd October,2013 after that I got periods only on 15th Jan,2014. I am already checking on BBT, Cervix position, Cervix mucus and Ovulation Kit. But nothing is working because of irregular periods. I have few doubts: 1. Is Ultrasound scan is enough is calculate ovulation time or is there is any scan to find the ovulation? 2. How many days will dominant follicle late? 3. Planning to take FERTICLO tablet(50 mg). Is it enough to get Ovulation?

Hi,
Since you are suffering from PCOD and Irregular cycles, it is important that before starting any treatment ,you get evaluation to find about your ovulation and to look for insulin resistance .
Yes we can monitor ovulation safely by getting serial ultrasound preferably Transvaginal(TVS).Serial TVS can monitor the number of follicles, any dominant follicle and endometrial thickness.
