What Do Clear Blisters On Back Of Throat Followed By Cough And Sore Throat Mean?
Hi. I have lots of small clear blisters on the back of my throat and my throat is so sore. I've had a dry cough for a month followed by this sore throat. now i also have a white coating on the very back of my tongue. the blisters are starting to spread in and around the back of my tongue also. I now feel flu like symptoms too. My throats been getting gradually worse for 2 weeks even though i've been gargling with salt water and using antiseptic throat sprays and lozenges. Any ideas?? many thanks
Hello and welcome to HCM, You are suffering from some pathology of throat. There is soreness, clear blisters which are spreading, and white coating on these blisters. The clear blisters can be due to viral infection and the white coating can be due to exudative material. You need to consult your physician for clinical examination of the throat. A throat swab may be required to look for bacterial infection. If no bacterial infection is detected, serological tests for viral infection can be done. In the meanwhile you can go for saline gargles for symptomatic relief.
