What Do Cramps And Lower Abdominal Pain After Tubal Ligation Indicate?

Hi, on dec 4 2015 I had my son by CSection and then had a tubal ligation. Ever sence then I get cramps on both sides or sometimes one side of my lower abdomin. Im wondering if I should go in to make sure everything is still in place and if it s normal to still have pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain you are feeling most probably is due to adhesions following tubal ligation. That's common after surgical procedures. If you have not run any genital examination since 2015, then, I think you should get one today to evaluate that everything is ok. Otherwise, nothing worrisome.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
