What Do Disc Bulging, Non-significant Central Canal Stenosis And Mild Left Foraminal Narrowing In An MRI Report Suggest?
What does this mean and what is the treatment. It s from my MRI L4-L5: THERE IS DISC BULGING, ECCENTRIC TO THE LEFT . THERE ISA LEFT GREATER THAN RIGHT FACET JOINT EFFUSION, INC REASED. NOSIGNIFICANT CENTRAL CANAL STENOSIS. THERE IS SUPERI MPOSED LEFT FACET ARTHRITIS WITH INFLAMMATION. THERE IS MILD LEFT FORAMINAL NARROWING, UNCHANGED. THERE IS A RIGHT FORAMINAL ANNULAR FISSURE.
Disc bulging means intervertebral disc is dislodged from space between L4-L5 which is called herniation of disc. So you might be suffering from pain, tingling and numbness from lower back to thigh and radiating up to the ankle. In initial stage physiotherapy will help to relieve symptoms however for long term relief surgical procedure is required. So consult physiotherapist and if needed neurosurgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
