What Do Dry Eyes, Dry Mouth And Difficulty In Swallowing Indicate?

Hi! I have had several blood tests as of late for a variety of symptoms such as: dry eye, dry mouth, difficulty swallowing, 40 lb weight gain, hypothyroidism, shortness of breath, headaches, insomnia, sleep apnea, fatigue, irregular heartbeat, prurigo nodularis on my arms and scalp, depression, and joint pain. The doctors are not sure what to diagnose me with, My cortisol levels are low, also. The doctors are suggesting I may have Shogrens and/ or Cushing s diseases, but I am wondering if I can have both?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I would suggest you to use lubricant eye drops to reduce the symptoms of dryness since dryness of eyes can lead to various eye infections and irritation. Further I suggest you to get few blood tests which consists of thyroid function tests, ANA (anti-nuclear antibodies), Anti SS-A, Anti SS-B and anti-topoisomerase.
These set of investigations will help to diagnose the condition.
For difficulty in swallowing , throat examination is suggested.
A connective tissue disorder and thyroid dysfunction is suspected.
