What Do Itching And Swelling In The Lips Indicate?
Hello there I woke up with the itching swelling lip immediately but getting up I started itching in my underwear section it felt like I was swelling but there is no Welch it was like internal and then it moved to my back now my back itches and it will not stop I ve put Benadryl topical on it it seemed to help but my lip still feels like it s itching but it s not swollen but it I want to scratch it because this doesn t help
Your symptoms are pointing towards allergic reaction only causing Allergic Angioedema of lip and itching and irritation in other parts of body too. It can be due to any food or medication, any bed bugs, skin cosmetics, soaps or detergents etc. As the symptoms have become better in other parts of body but still if there is itching over the lips then you can take anti-allergic medication like oral Benadryl or Levocetrizine to relieve the itching.
Do cool compresses over the lips. In case if the symptoms recur then consult an Emergency room and get evaluated. In case if similar symptoms occur again and again then you can get an Allergy test done to rule out the exact cause.
