Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve just completed a 3 month round of prescription Lamisil for toenail infection. I ve been off for about 2 weeks now but am still apparently sensitive to sun exposure.I have developed raised pink spots on my arms that itch terribly. This happened when I first started taking the med. and forgot about the sun warning too. Eventually the spots lower and the formerly raised areas turn a permanent stark white. Have I permanently damaged my melanin producing cells? Will I forever be a polka dotted beast?
Hello,my name is dr,Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern. Some advices that I can give to you are: -Avoid contact. You can’t use or touch what triggers your allergy. -A cool compress or shower can help calm a fiery rash. Gently pat dry and then moisturize. -Add anti-itch cream. Over-the-counter hydrocortisone or calamine lotion may relieve itching. -Don’t wear tight clothes. They can irritate your rash.
