What Do Lower Backache And Pressure In The Abdomen Indicate?

I was just at Physicians Care with what I thought was a kidney infection but was told I had bladder spasms. I am having pain in my lower back which moves to the front, pressure in my abdomen that causes me to have trouble walking. I do not have a fever and my urine was good. They prescribed Phenazopyridine.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The location and characteristic of pain are concerning for possible ureteric stone. An X-ray kidney, ureter and bladder can screen for the presence of stone. Please be advised to follow up with urgent care for necessary evaluation. Meanwhile, drink plenty of water and take Buscopan for pain relief.

Regards,

Dr. Lekshmi
