Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I seem to be having a stomach/digestive issue that comes and goes. Lately it has been more constant. My stomach/ small intestine develops a muscle cramp that can be felt from the lower stomach area - in a straight vertical line down toward the end of the lower intestines. I m not certain if it is caused from drinking milk, being constipated or what. The muscle cramp is very painful in the middle of the night and causes pain, almost like a burning senstation. Can you give me some ideas as to what the problem could be?
Abdominal pain may be due bowel irritation or bloating due to gas accumulation or due to Infection or due food Intolerance. We need more history from above diagnosis point of view.
Avoid spicy food at night, caffeinated drinks and alcohol. Also, avoid dairy products and gluten contains food. Use tablet Librax twice a day for five days.
If symptoms not improved, please consult your gastroenterologist, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
