Hi,

Raised TSH level in presence of normal T3 and T4 levels is primarily a disease of primary hypothyroidism and should be treated accordingly. During the early disease TSH raises consistently while T4 changes to T3, thus keeping the level of T3 normal and resulting in level of T4 normal or low. TSH level is a better indicator than T4 for diagnosing and treating the patient of hypothyroidism and therefore dosage of Thyronorm is usually titrated according to level of TSH.

In my opinion your previous doctor was right in prescribing you various doses of Thyronorm taking into consideration of your changing levels of TSH. I do not agree with your homeopathy doctor, who advised to stop your Thyronorm. Now, I think that you should again start the Thyronorm according to your level of TSH under guidance of your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
