What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?

Hi doctor , my wife missed her period and her test was positive. we have taken unwanted kit (mankind). After 7 day her bleeding stopped ,.but again bleeding started after 10 days. We went to Dr. and Dr. did Ultrasound and uterine cavity was empty. But Dr. asked to go for blood test BETA HCG (SPECIMEN : SERUM) and given given Trenaxa 500 MG Tab. Next day report results came and it was showing 182.7 mIU/ml. Dr suggest to stop Trenaxa and asked to take MISOPROST 200 MCG TAB for 3 days for 3 time, we both are tensed and afraid, could your please guide us. Thank you very much in advance. Sonika Malik

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you better go to hospital for a D and C procedure which is more sure to empty the uterine cavity. The misoprostol pill will likely increase bleeding.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
