Hi Dr.Matthew Mintz, Hope you doing good..!!! I need your help my Dad is facing lots of stomach pain we do lots of test but he not feel relife. I will send you reports please tell what action i have to take. Raised SGPT and SGOT may indicate liver injury.
It may be due to many reasons like hepatitis,alcohol intake,altered lipid profile,medicines,auto immune causes etc.
Your father may need clinical evaluation and investigations like routine hemogram,viral markers,random blood sugar,lipid profile,ultrasound of abdomen.
I suggest tablet ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg tablet twice daily for three months.It helps in regeneration of liver cells.
He may need few more medicines after complete evaluation.
