Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am 7 weeks (and to days to be exact) pregnant. I just saw my blood and urine tests result. and I was a bit alarmed because of some non-average results. What does it mean if I have higher than normal WBC white blood cell, lower than normal MCV Mean Corpuscular Volume, lower than normal Monocyte and way higher than normal HBsAg w/Titer (CMIA) result. Hope you can help me. thanks!
1 raised wbc counts means an infection so if u have fever along with it then u should go see a doctor 2 lower than normal mcv along with decreased hemoglobin can mean an iron deficiency anemia 3 lower than normal monocytes might be ignored because sometimes they come as a lab error 4 hbsag titre above normal must be correlated with other tests like anti hbsag titres and past hepatitis bimmunization status.as it may be raised in persons done with immunization.
