What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?

Hi, Actually I had an unprotected sex with my girlfriend and at the heat of the moment I m not sure if I discharged in her. Her cycle date is 16th and she didn t have her periods yet. Usually it comes up till 12th. She didn t have any contraceptive either. Please let me know what should I do? Does she have to wait for 16th first and when she can check for pregnancy?

Hi,

If you have did sex during fertile phase of period then high chance of pregnancy. If you have regular cycle of 28th to 30th day then fertile phase will be 10th day to 18th day of cycle. Wait for period to come. If period will delay by more than 7 days from normal expected period date then go for urine pregnancy test to confirm pregnancy.

Pregnancy test will give false negative result in first 7 days of missed period. You can also go for blood HCG test. It is more accurate test and detect pregnancy even after 10 day after unprotected sex. So at this time you can go for blood HCG test. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise. Use condom in future to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
