Hi. I have been taking immune suppressant medications (such as Actemra, methotrexate, etc.) for RA for the past 5 years. I had a chest x-ray yesterday just as a pro forma step because I m starting a new infusion protocol. My doctor called to tell me I have mild fibronodular changes in one of my lungs and advised me to follow up with my primary care MD. I also had a TB blood test this week, which was normal. What could these lung tissue x-ray results indicate? Thank you.
Chest X-ray findings may suggest sequel of past infection. Since,it is mild,I don't think it is concerning. However you may need proper evaluation. It is good that T.B tests are negative.
