Hello,

I read your query.

The blood test report for the parameters provided appear to be within normal limits and hence is not a cause of concern. The urine examination report shows that there is absence of red blood cells .However pus cells appears to be slightly out of range towards higher side. This generally points towards urinary tract infection but it appears to be very mild.

It would have been nice had you mentioned the age of your daughter and the symptoms that she is experiencing.

Nevertheless, had I been her physician, I would have advised her to

1. Have plenty of water (>3 litres per day) to flush out the toxins

2. A urine alkaliniser such as citrol or alkasol can be used.

3. urine infection may lead to pain abdomen. In that case, Drotaverine tablet can be taken at a gap of eight hours.

4. in case of fever due to infection, paracetamol tablet may be taken.

5 . if symptoms persists, a urine culture sensitivity test may be required following which appropriate antibiotic can be started.

However, the mainstay of treatment remains increased fluid intake.

Hope this helps,
Do post if you have any other query,

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi Jain,
MBBS, MD Biochemistry
