What Do Nightmares And Body Tremors In An Infant Indicate?

My daughter is 7 months old and she has been having major sleeping problems. She wakes up screaming and her whole body jerks around tossing and turning every time I either put her down, or if she falls asleep in her bed, anywhere. She will fall asleep at night anywhere from 7pm to could be 1am. After that it seems like every half hour to hour she wakes up doing the screaming and tossing looking for us. Then she will wake up at 4 am looking to wake up for the day and she wants us to get up. I’ll spend the next two hours trying to get her to sleep but she doesn’t not give in. I end up just waking up for the day and once i turn the lights on and play she is fine. I’ve tried letting her cry and she has thrown up from crying so hard. I personally don’t like the cry it our method anyways. I’ve tried shortening her naps. She was a very good napper until about a few days ago. I have just tried putting her down for a nap and she woke up ten minutes later screaming and tossing.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear. Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I read your query and I understand your concern. I think there is not needed medical help for her. Just try to put her to sleep later not at 7 but gradually postpone it. Use light clothes for her to sleep and give her light supper . Be careful with environment noises and lights. There is not a special formula for her to sleep.
Take care
.Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help you. Best regards. Dr.Olgeta Xhufka ( general and family physician ).
