What Do Numbness In The Left Shoulder And Dizziness Indicate?

I am having spells where I have numbness in my left shoulder with tingling, dizziness, throat has a chokeing feeling, weakness,and I can,t think my right side of head feels numb. My Doctor said i had A Fib and put me on Verapamil 120 MG. I don t know if I need that pill

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If your cardiologist has diagnosed an atrial fibrillation, I am assuming he has done the relevant tests like EKG. In such a case, I would recommend taking the medicine. However, I would also recommend meeting a neurologist and testing an MRI of the brain(with screen cervical spine) to look up any changes that may be causing these neurological symptoms. So overall I recommend taking the medicine as suggested by your cardiologist. Let us know the reports after you get them for further advice.
