Hello,
Eye twitching commonly happen when the eyes are strained, anxiety, dry eye,
sleep deprivation, vitamin B6, B12 deficiency, nerve weakness, developing
blepharospasm or developing bells palsy. Excessive caffeine intake may trigger eye twitching. You are suggested to cut on your caffeine intake. Avoid addictions (smoking, alcohol if any. Use warm compress to help your eye relax when it twitches. Take vitamin B6, B12 and
vitamin E rich food or supplements.
You can visit an eye specialist, get EMG and Imaging (CT/MRI) done to rule out any developing facial weakness or Bells palsy. You will be treated with antivirals and cortico-
steroids if the reports are positive. If needed you may be referred to a
neurologist. Get treated at the earliest. Eyelid twitching often goes away on its own with rest or removal of irritating factors. Relax and get adequate sleep.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
