What do you mean if you are positive in Epihtelial cells and mucus? and what is the normal range for it?

epithelial cells suggests worn out cells replaced with new cells, normal range 5-8/hpf. mucus is a secretion.

it is not clear
is it urine report or something else
epithelial cells normally present in urine
presence of mucus in urine may indicate infection /urinary stones. if having urinary problems consult urologist

Positive epithelial cells means presence of epithlial cells in the Urine,
Normal range is 5 to 7 cell/ HPF.. these cells are lining layer of the ureter, urinary bladder, and PCT, DCT,loops of kidney... These cell will be normally present in urine... due to normal shedding of cells due to aging...
