What Do Pus Discharge After Wisdom Teeth Removal Suggest?
I went to the dentist to get my wisdom teeth pulled, the one on top came right out and the bottom one would nt budge for nothing, so she had to saw it in 20 pieces and it took almost an hour then she stitched me up in two different areas in my mouth, stiches already came out but there is still an opening and pus is coming out. What should I do?
Hello, I had gone through your question carefully and can understand your concern very well.
As per the history provided from your side, i would like to tell you that you are having stitch infection. So i would suggest you to apply metrogyl dental ointment to the affected area, take a complete course of antibiotics (like cefixime for 7 to 10 days) and anti inflammatory drugs if needed. Also maintain your mouth hygiene, avoid eating more sugar, brushing your teeth twice a day and gargle with salt water several times a day. As these are prescription drugs, you can consult a dentist and confirm the diagnosis.
Hope this answers your question and let me know directly if you are having any further relevant queries.
