What Do Rashes On The Body Indicate?

my son (16 year old) has been having diarrhea over the past 2 days, and vomited once today. He took some CVS loperamide hydrochloride (which he took before and was ok). Now the diarhea stopped but he developed rather severe rash all over his body. What should we do? Shoudl I get him some anti-histamine first for the night, and if so, what kind? Thank you!!

Hello,

He might be having allergic reactions to the drug taken. So, he is having rashes all over body suddenly.

Kindly, get him antihistamine tablets like Cetirizine, Levocetirizine, Chlorpromazine, and etcetera. Combination syrups are also available, oral tablets can also be taken for 3 to 5 days night time preferably.

Kindly do not use any medicine without a prescription and get it from the nearest practitioner.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
