What Do Reactive Lymphocytes Indicate In Blood Report ?
My son`s blood(age-17,male) result says that there are reactive lymphocytes seen.Is that normal? RBC-NORMAL NORMOCHROMIC CELLS.NO NUCLEATED RBCs SEEN. WBC-COUNT IS WITHIN NORMAL LEVELS DC-P-50%,L-39%,E-5%,M-6% nO BLASTS SEEN. PLATELET-COUNT IS WITHIN NORMAL LIMITS.SEEN SCATTERED SINGLY. PARASITES-NOT SEEN. IMPRESSION-SMEAR SHOWS REACTIVE LYMPHOCYTES

It only means that there has been an increase in lymphocytes due to infection. It can happen sometimes in worm infestations. Lab results are of little use without seeing the patient and taking history. Please provide us the history
