hi my daughter has red small patches all over her body. i have already taken her to the doctor. he said she has hands, foot and mouth disease and would go away in 6 till 10 days but its now 8 days but its getting worst. But it appears dark then fade but then comes back dark again. most of the patch is on her bottom and thigh area. she said its not ichy but it hurts. so is this something serious? pls help
The symptoms you have described do indicate a diagnosis of Hand-foot-and-mouth disease, though it is difficult to determine that without physical examination. Hand foot and mouth disease does not have any treatment. If she is having pain in the blisters, you can apply over the counter topical ointments for soothing blisters. If she does not recover in another three-four days take her baby to the doctor for reassessment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regard, Dr. Nazma.amman
