Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my nine year old daughter has developed small rashes on her face. the largest rash is about the size of a quarter, the other is smaller then a dime. They came on over a couple days, progressively getting worse. They are not really painful, maybe just itchy.
As per your query you have small small rashes on the face. Bumps you mention occur due to many reasons like excessive sun exposure or allergy . The other reason of red bumps can be a skin infection , smallpox or allergy for to cormetics. Need not to worry. You should use face wash which is soft on skin and do not cause problem . Use sunscreen with SPF 15 while in exposure to sun to prevent skin from excessive sun damage. Apply aloe vera gel at night .Drink plenty of fluids and water to hydrate yourself. Give cold compresses for itchiness. If condition persist even after month then consult dermatologist . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , antiviral , steroid drugs .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
