What Do Spasms And Bloating In Lower Stomach Indicate?
Hi there, I have been getting spasm like twinges in the lower stomach on my left side, it's not painful just annoying, although today my tummy is feeling tender and bloated. I have suffered from pancreatitis before due to gallstones and have had my gallbladder removed so I don't think it could be that? Any ideas?
You have have left lower abdominal pain where we have last part of large intestine.
Pancreatic pain is usually an annoying pain present in the upper part of stomach and back ,almost will make the patient double up..
Yours is a lower abdominal pain with gaseous distension most likely an enteritis..
If I have a patient like this in my outpatient department I would be giving the patient an antibiotic, covering both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, probiotics and anti ulcer drug and in case pain and bloating not controlled i will order for investigation like motion complete, ultrasound scan abdomen, urine complete etc which will throw some light on the issue.
Hope our feedback helps.
Take care
