What Do Swelling And Red Rashes On The Legs Indicate?

My daughter is out of the country and has a very swollen foot and a red stripe up her leg to her knee. She also has what she thinks are multiple mosquito bites on her foot and leg. Her leg aches a little, but she has no other symptoms. I m thinking she may have been bitten by something poisonous. Can you advise what she should be watching for and how she might treat her foot and leg? Thank you.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In my opinion it might be a mosquito bite and now it's infected.
Pain, redness and swelling of the leg are sings of infection.
She can take Ibuprofen (three times a day for 5-6 days).
This condition needs to be treated with antibiotics(Amoxicilline) and sometimes it needs to add also Corticosteroids, this depends from clinical examination. She can consult a doctor to decide for the antibiotic and Corticosteroid treatment.
