Thank you for posting query.

Acute Hepatitis A presentation.
HepA liver infection is a common cause of hepatitis and "self limited disease".
moreover, your sons seems overweight and its better to loose some weight.

increase in the level of liver enzymes(AST,ALT) reflect an INJURY to the Liver. medically, the condition is know as "Hepatitis". It maybe caused by viral infection, alcohol, gall stones, increased fat in body.

advice:
- abstinence from "Alcohol"
- NO fat diet should be followed for 6 weeks ( atleast)
- NO red meat
- vegetables should be ingested daily
- Moreover, less activity should be carried out (no sports), REST more.
- use lemon juice (lemonade) once in a day
- udiliv or Liv52 maybe taken (consult hepatologist/ treating physician)

Repeat LIver function test and lipid profile after 6 to 8 weeks.

Health professionals aim to diagnose properly and manage patients according to their limited knowledge. Cure is blessed by the ONE who Created us, whose power and knowledge is unlimited .
wish you good health.
