What Do The Findings In EKG For Increased Palpitations After A Flu Attack And Bacterial Infection Indicate?
Please review my EKG and let me know your thoughts. After catching a cold or flu and having a coexisting bacterial infection, I suddenly came down with frequent palpatation that got dramaticly worse when I layed down. So I got an ekg done while laying down and it shows what my heart was doing. Please let me know your thoughts and what this may be.
Welcome to HCM. There is always increase in the heart rate due to fever after bacterial infection. Heart rate sometime increases more than 100 which causes palpitations. Nsaid to subside the fever and proper antibiotic to subside the infection is required. Heart rate will come to normal limit after proper treatment. Otherwise consult your doctor for further guidance.
