What Do The Following Blood Sugar Levels Indicate?

Within the last week I went in to get tested for diabetes. I have been trembling and feet have the pins and needle feeling. A1C was 6.4. I was asked to test for 2weeks and am on day 4. My before breakfast readings are 118 and 90. The 2 hour after eating range from 77 to 124 for breakfast 101to 148 for lunch 114 to 206 for dinner. Is this still looking like prediabetes?

Hi,
Yes, your reading may suggest possibility of prediabetes.
For diagnosis of prediabetes there are following criteria by ADA (American Diabetes Association)
Any one of the following
1) HbA1c : 5.7 to 6.5%.
2) Fasting plasma glucose 100 to 125mg/dl.
3) 2 hours post 75 gm glucose plasma glucose level 140 to 200mg/dl.

In clinical practice 2 hours post 75 gm glucose plasma glucose level may be considered equivalent to 2 hour post meal plasma glucose.

So it is advisable
1) Restrict calories and fat intake.
2) Regular exercise.
3) Keep weight under control.
4) Consult your doctor for further evaluation.

Hope this may be helpful to you, if so do vote.
