What Do These Fetal Measurements From Ultrasound Scan Indicate?
hi there, I m 42 years, i have gestational diabetes, my baby measurements at 29weeks 4 days as follows: BPC (CM) 8.02 equivalent to GA 32 weeks and 1 day HC (CM) 29.22 equivalent to GA 32 weeks and 2 day A/C (CM) 29.27 equivalent to GA 33 weeks and 2 day FL (CM) 5.82 equivalent to GA 30 weeks and 3 day does my baby has down syndrome
Based on the history you have shared of diabetes and the ultrasound report also suggests that the baby is large for gestational age. This is common in diabetics that the baby is of large size that is macrosomic baby. For that you don't need to panic, just keep a good blood sugars control, avoid excess fluids and consult your gynecologist as macrosonic babies are usually delivered through C section.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
