Hi.... i m Roushan from india. My father is 56 yrs old. He have a HTN since 5 yrs. He had mild heart attack. Few day back 1st time Brain Stroke with high BP 210/110 mmhg. In CT scan showing Mild Cerebral Attrophy & Lacunar Infarcto in Lt. basal ganglia and thalamus. In MRI shows small chronic infarct in Lt. thalamus and ischaemic foci in bilateral frontal preventricular white matter. He have 2 episode Seizure. ECHO shows Conc. LVH, EF 62%, Trivial MR. Also right leg Cellulites (Now it is controled). Sir, please tell me about CT & MRI report in detail and give me your opinion. With regards. Thanking U.
CT and MRI point to the same diagnosis that is ischemia (reduced blood supply to brain). This is mainly due to HTN. Of course other factors like lipid profile disturbances and diabetes may be other contributing factors. Echo also indicate hypertensive heart disease. Episodes of seizures may also be due to ischemia of brain. You are advised to keep your BP controlled. Also your cholesterol and sugar levels to be in normal range.
