What Do Tingling Sensation On Hands And Feet Suggest?

My hands and feet started tingling in mid-September. I had an MRI on my brain at the end of October. It was normal. In November my tongue started to feel like it was burnt all of the time. I had an MRI on my neck in mid-December. It was normal. I have had tons of bloodwork done. My B12 was normal; Vitamin D was low at 24. I am now on D3 2000 IU vitamins, plus Caltrate every day. I have tightness in my throat almost daily. In February, my eye started to get blurry when watching TV at night. I had EMG and NCS nerve tests in April. Those were both normal. I have given up gluten, but have not seen much of a difference since doing that. I just want to know what is wrong with me because the doctors I have seen do not have any answers for me.

Hi,

There are several possible differential diagnoses for tingling sensation in the hands and feet, along with blurry vision. Some possibilities include: peripheral neuropathy: this is a type of nerve damage that affects the nerves outside of the brain and spinal cord. It can cause tingling, numbness, and weakness in the hands and feet.

Multiple sclerosis (MS): This is a disease that affects the central nervous system and can cause a wide range of symptoms, including tingling, weakness, and visual disturbances. Vitamin deficiency: A deficiency in certain vitamins, such as vitamin B12 or folate, can cause tingling and numbness in the hands and feet.

Diabetes: People with diabetes may experience nerve damage as a result of high blood sugar levels, which can cause tingling and numbness in the hands and feet. Alcoholism: Chronic alcohol abuse can cause nerve damage, leading to tingling and numbness in the hands and feet.

Spinal cord injuries: Injuries to the spinal cord can affect the nerves and cause tingling and numbness in the hands and feet. Migraines: Migraines are severe headaches that can cause visual disturbances, including blurry vision. It is important to consult a medical professional for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
