What Do White Patch And Pimple On The Tongue Indicate?
ok i have a question , the bottom of my tougue veins are blue & in the back corner of my mouth i have a white patch & on the other corner i have a chipped tooth with a bubble like pimple on it & my tougue has white pimples all over it & my throat is yellow or orange what does this all mean ?
White patches in the oral cavity are indicative of thrush or leukoplakia. Leukoplakia is commonly not cancerous but neglect may cause development of squamous cell carcinoma.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP & get treated. Fungal infections cause thrush, your treating doctor may give you a course of anti fungals. He may give you antivirals to treat leukoplakia.
Patches may be removed by scalpel, laser or cryoprobe. Avoid taking tobacco, alcohol or addictions if any.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
