What Do White Spots On Throat Indicate?

My child is being treated for strep throat. He is on his last day of antibiotics. There are white spots and blood vessels on his tonsils and yellowish color in the back of his mouth. What should we do this? Is this a viral infection or a sign of the strep throat clearing?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Bacterial throat infection also known as Strep throat and the symptoms white spots and blood vessels on tonsils along with yellowish colour at the back of mouth seems to be due to bacterial throat infection.

As the symptoms are still prevalent and he is on the last day of antibiotic you should consult his treating physician and get evaluated..

He can be advised another course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room can help..
You can also suck throat lozenges, chew Vitamin C pellet and avoid spicy and chilled foods..
